A Vision Splendid

Arriving back in Sydney felt like coming back to earth…. Winton really is like another world.

With Duncan in France, Ben in England and Paul hastliy preparing his new bike for his 12,000k Kimberly adventure ride, it was left to me and a few of the extras from Arrows of Fire (my kids!) to wave the oily rag in Winton.

Fortunately the screening was uneventful with no injuries and just one walk out. The lady in her early 60's found the stress of it too much to bear. Ouch!

The film festival was simply amazing. In the century old open air cinema with the moon setting and a sky full of stars we had one of those life highlights watching the inspiring movie Tracks, about Robyn Davidson's epic journey across the desert to the indian ocean with her camels and trusty dog.

With a bit of luck I'll be out there again next year for the Anzac themed event. There is a short film competition that could quite possibly have Eye of the Rider stamped on it.

Any suggestions? The subject is 'Unsung Heros'
